ProofCall

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Data We Collect

ProofCall collects the information needed to run trusted-contact verification, including account identifiers, trusted-person relationships, proof request status, proof style settings, notification setup status, purchase entitlement status, and lightweight relationship history. You may add an optional phone number to help trusted people find your ProofCall profile when they intentionally choose your contact. If you choose to use Contacts access, contact names, phone numbers, or email addresses from the one selected contact may be used to help you add trusted people.

Contacts And Phone Matching

ProofCall does not upload your full address book, scan contacts in the background, or show a list of everyone on ProofCall. Contact lookup only runs after you choose a specific contact, and only that selected contact's phone numbers and email addresses are sent for the lookup. People can appear as ready for a direct invite only if they allow direct invite matching. Phone number matching is a convenience signal for app functionality, not proof of legal identity or ownership of a number.

Proof Requests

ProofCall creates short challenge phrases for active proof sessions. Old challenge phrases are not intended to appear in history after a session completes, expires, or fails. Verification history may record outcomes such as verified, mismatch, expired, recipient denied, or interrupted.

Call State And Audio

ProofCall may use device call-state context as a local UI signal, such as showing that your device appears to be on a call. ProofCall does not claim to know who is calling, does not record calls, does not analyze voices, and does not continuously monitor every call.

How We Use Data

We use your data to provide account access, trusted-person setup, optional selected-contact lookup, proof requests, Time Sensitive notifications, relationship history, support, abuse prevention, subscription entitlement checks, and app reliability. We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising or tracking.

Third-Party Services

ProofCall may use Apple services for Sign in with Apple, notifications, contacts permission, App Store purchases, and system call-state signals. It may also use secure cloud infrastructure and RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management.

Your Choices

You can manage notification permissions, contacts access, trusted people, and purchases through the app or device settings. You may request account deletion or a copy of your data by contacting support.
