Data We Collect

ProofCall collects the information needed to run trusted-contact verification, including account identifiers, invitation details, trusted-person relationships, proof request status, notification readiness, purchase entitlement status, and sanitized relationship activity. You may add an optional name to label a pending invitation, either by typing it or choosing a name from Contacts.

Invitations And Contacts

Trusted connections are created when someone accepts an invitation link or code. The optional system Contacts picker only fills the invitation name; choosing a contact does not connect your accounts. ProofCall does not upload your address book or selected contacts' phone numbers or email addresses, scan contacts in the background, or match accounts by phone number or email address.

Proof Requests

ProofCall creates short challenge phrases for active proof sessions. Phrases are removed when a session completes or ends and are never stored in relationship activity or product metrics. Activity may record a sanitized outcome such as verified, mismatch, expired, recipient denied, interrupted, or marked as a scam attempt. Each participant controls and may clear their own activity view.

Call State And Audio

ProofCall may use device call-state context as a local UI signal, such as showing that your device appears to be on a call. ProofCall does not claim to know who is calling, does not record calls, does not analyze voices, and does not continuously monitor every call.

How We Use Data

We use your data to provide account access, invitation-based trusted-person setup, proof requests, notifications, sanitized relationship activity, support, abuse prevention, and app reliability. First-party product events use allowlisted event names and opaque internal identifiers; they never include names, phone numbers, email addresses, push tokens, or phrase content. Raw product events are retained for up to 90 days, and anonymous daily totals for up to 13 months. We do not sell personal data or use third-party advertising or tracking analytics.

Third-Party Services

ProofCall may use Apple services for Sign in with Apple, notifications, the system Contacts picker, App Store purchases, App Intents, and system call-state signals. It also uses Cloudflare infrastructure and RevenueCat to load purchase options and manage purchase entitlement status. RevenueCat receives the account and purchase information needed to provide and restore ProofCall Pro access; it does not receive proof phrases or your address book.

Your Choices

You can choose whether to use the optional Contacts name picker and manage notification permissions, trusted people, purchases, and your own relationship activity through the app, the App Store, or device settings. Account deletion removes raw product events and relationship activity involving the account, but does not cancel an App Store subscription; subscriptions must be canceled through Apple. You may request a copy of your data by contacting support.
